USING the PLATFORM
Our online platform is called Webcasts. It is a simple platform and does not require any downloads, just an active internet connection. Please read the following email in its entirety and watch this informational video in order to learn more about our virtual platform. This will answer all the questions you may have about how it works.
Be sure to create your Webcast account using the email address you used to register for GLEC.
If you attempt to attend a lecture an receive an error message, please confirm your registration details or chat with us here on the website.
RECEIVING CE CREDIT
These are LIVE courses that are time-stamped from the time you enter the course until the time that you leave, or the course ends. We recommend using the OE tracker app, but your attendance is automatically tracked and will be sent to ARBO. Arriving late or leaving early while the lecture is in progress will void all CE credit.
ENGAGEMENT with SPEAKERS
Each course will have a chat function at the bottom of the screen, this will allow you to ask questions that the speakers can respond to and answer. Please be respectful and professional in the chat. We encourage the use of the chat as speakers will be online and available for the duration of each course.
The lecture videos do have a pause button if you need to step away from your computer. We do not recommend using the pause button for longer than 5 minutes.
Once you exit a lecture, you will proceed to the next course. If you are late to the next course because you paused for a long period of time, you will not receive credit for that course if you have not watched the full lecture.
